Aiming to annually award the best masters’ dissertations in the energy sector, the REN prize stands out as the oldest one in Portugal, within its scope.
NEW R&D researcher, José Campos Costa, was distinguished with the 3rd place in this contest, with the thesis “Microgrid Reliability Assessment”. This work presents a reliability study of a microgrid composed by a purely renewable generation profile, and the consequences of its implementation for the upstream grid.
The consecutive presence in REN award podium of a NEW R&D collaborator, after the 1st place attained by Pedro Castro in the 2016 edition, reinforces the quality of this team and the high diligence that it promotes, with the goal of actively contributing in the transition to a sustainable energy landscape.
The award ceremony will take place on the afternoon of November 17 at the Ritz Hotel, in Lisbon.
